Coached by Christemmy_at_cbc.jpg

BEGINS OCTOBER 5, 2011

@ 6:30 PM

Coached By Christ (CBC) meets every Wednesday October through March.  We meet at Lakeview Bible Church (1651 Avenue Q, Carter Lake, IA).  CBC is for children 4 years old through 5th grade.  CBC is a Scripture memorization program and is designed to help children hide God's Word in their hearts.

Children earn points throughout the year for memorizing verses, bringing friends, wearing a CBC shirt, bringing their book, Bible and dues (50 cents), and attending Sunday school.  At the end of the year, we convert points into CBC "dollars" and the children get to spend their money at the CBC store.

Every Wednesday evening the students enjoy:
learning more about the Bible, Jesus and how Jesus wants us to live;
playing games;
eating snacks;
earning prizes;
seeing friends; and
having LOTS of fun.

If you need a ride call  the church at 347-6440 or our van ministry (Kousgaards) at 347-6464.

Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman

This is a poignant reminder to daddys to spend time with their precious girls.  You may access this video on www.youtube.com.

Make a Movie by Dan Seaborn

Typically, kids love to be on video.  I’ve found they get even more excited when they get to do the taping.  Plan a time when you are doing something special and surprise your kids by asking them to go along and video tape the action.  Don’t worry if they get you in the middle of the frame, just let them have fun.  You might not win $10,000 on “America’s Funniest Videos” but you’ll definitely enjoy your time sharing a bowl of popcorn as you watch the video together.

If you don’t have a video camera  you can purchase an inexpensive disposable camera and allow your children to take pictures. After developing the photos,  work together on a scrapbook to tell the story of the special event.

Matthew 18:5 ......"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me"
