Visitor informationYou are always welcome at our church.
What to Expect
|
Parking is adjacent to Lakeview Bible Church. If our lot is full, you may park in the lot across the street at the ball diamonds. There are two entrances to Lakeview Bible Church. If you come in the front entrance, through the glass doors and then the double doors, you will enter the front of the auditorium. You may want to go down the stairs to your right and enter through our fellowship area to the left. There is also an entrance directly into the fellowship area from the parking lot. You will go up a couple of stairs direcly in front of you.
You will be welcomed and directed to the worship center by one of our greeters. Children from birth through 4 years old may go directly to our nursery facility which is always staffed with two screened workers. Children in kindergarten through 4th grade will be dismissed during our Worship time to attend our Children's Church program. Both the nursery and Children's Church are held downstairs. There are coloring pages and crayons available on the counter in our fellowship center to help keep little hands occupied.
As you enter the auditorium you will receive a bulletin telling about the variety of activities available at Lakeview. After being seated, please take a moment to complete the Friendship Card. Please keep the pen as a reminder of your visit to Lakeview. At 11:00 our worship time begins with a praise song and you will then be engaged in Christ-centered, worship and an application-oriented study of God’s Word.
Following the worship service we invite you to invest some time meeting others. Coffee, ice water and punch is available after services. Please enjoy a cup with us and get to know us better.

What to Wear
|
At Lakeview we focus on the heart more than on the outward appearance. When you come to one of our services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts to as formal as suits and dresses. However, most people find themselves somewhere in the middle--most often wearing business casual. We do ask that people wear clothing that keeps the focus off of self and on Jesus Christ.

| When to Arrive |
| We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early in order to park, find your way into the worship center, and be prepared to worship. If you have children, arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the worship service in order to provide sufficient time for them to be settled into their classroom(s). |
Every now and then we all need a little "propping up!" The following story was sent to Pastor in e-mail. He thought you would enjoy it, too.
LORD PROP US UP...
Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old deacon who always prayed, 'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.' After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.
He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this... I got an old barn out back. It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather; it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.
It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.
So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side so it wouldn't fall.
Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn. I've been around a long time.
I've withstood a lot of life's storms. I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life, I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too. But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side, 'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.'
Sometimes we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness, leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing, leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't . So we need to pray, 'Lord, prop us up on our leaning side, so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord.''

If you stare at this barn for a second you will see who will help us stand straight and tall again. Pass this on to others who might need Propping Up, if you wish to!
