Pastor Dave graduated from Grace Bible College (Grand Rapids, MI) in 1988 with a B.Th. He spent the next 18 years in youth ministries in Washington, Ohio, Florida and Michigan. While ministering as youth pastor in Holland, MI, Dave felt the Lord urging him to focus on a senior pastoral ministry. From the moment Dave learned that Lakeview needed a pastor, he believed that Lakeview was the church God wanted him to shepherd.
Dave’s greatest strength lies in his love for people and his desire to see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to grow in their faith. His preaching is practical and challenges us to more fully reflect God’s heart in our homes, work places, schools and communities.

OUR HISTORY
1955
July - 1st meeting held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gundersen.
Nine adults are in attendance. Mr. John Petersen is the Bible teacher.
1956
February - Church incorporated in the state of Iowa as “Lakeview Bible Church.”
July - Constitution adopted.
October - Regular missionary giving begins.
1957
May Plans selected for building project.
1959
December - Parsonage purchased to be used as church meeting place.
1960
July - Sewer connections made.
1961
April 3 - Pastor Harland Shriver called to be pastor from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
May - Held 1st Sunday evening service with 17 present.
December - 1st service held in rustic basement.
1962
April 22 - Easter Sunday services held in auditorium with 125 present for Sunday school.
Summer - Concrete poured for parking.
1963
July - Began to brick building.
November - Thanksgiving: Brick completed.
1964
January - Dedication of building.
1968
Pastor Harland Shriver leaves.
1970
April - Pastor Daniel Denk comes as pastor. Addition to building started.
1973
December - Christmas program held basement addition.
1974
July - Pastor Denk leaves to teach at Grace Bible College.
September- Pastor Gray arrives as pastor.
1976
September - Pastor Gray leaves and attends UNO
1977
May - Pastor Rob Warmouth arrives as pastor.
1978
February 2 - New Sanctuary dedicated.
1981
November 15 - 25th Anniversary celebrated.
1982
November - Pastor Warmouth leaves.
1983
June - Pastor Matychuk arrives as pastor.
1994
March - Pastor Matychuk leaves. Pastor Abbott arrives as pastor.
November - "200" Sunday. Pastor Abbott leaves..
1995
November - Pastor Tulsie arrives as pastor.
1996
August - Lakeview celebrates 40th Anniversary.
2004
September - Pastor Tulsie leaves.
2006
